💥Was prepped as best as I could have been, during one of the biggest ecological disasters of our time.

Being at the forefront of, what’s now known as one of the greatest geological events on our soil,….with 1800 landslides, 126,000 homes destroyed, hundreds still missing and people gone in seconds… with complete towns destroyed and riverbeds rerouted…. certainly has hyperlapsed me into a different time, space continuum.

One minute we’re sleeping, cozy in bed and the next, we were praying with bated breath for hours, while my sweet soulful home and heart in the Appalachian mountains of WNC were changed forever…
 
There was a huge unknowing and a big fear in that uncertainty.
We weren’t knowing what was happening in our community bc we barely had any connection to the outside world for weeks.
 
✨️🫀Though, amidst this unknowing, I had a deeper knowing.
It sat in my heart and in my guts. The seat of my soul kind of thing.
I was ready for this. I was prepped.

Been prepping since my crisis experience in 9/11. 
Though, I’m not your average prepper. 
 

I’m a Chinese Medicine Practitioner prepper, which means that everything I do is rooted using holistic strategies, as much as possible. Any triage health-care practiced and taught, whether mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, uses natural healing solutions rooted in Chinese Medicine. 

 

Had my first wake-up call during 9/11 after being locked down in NYC, while also navigating PTSD, especially during that first year. 

Knew I needed a real plan for unexpected emergencies.

 

Though, didn’t really follow through and found myself locked down again in NYC for 2 days, 2 years later during the Eastern seaboard blackout, with only $13 to my name!

Felt helpless and in uncharted terrain…Just going with the flow with open eyes and open ears. 

It was surreal!

NEVER AGAIN will I feel that helpless during a crisis!
